An Australia–India AgTech co-creation platform · Anchored in Victoria · Deployed across Maharashtra & Karnataka

Rural intelligence for India's smallholder farmers.

REALM Krishi combines Australian AgTech, multilingual AI, satellite analytics and verified carbon MRV — co-created with Indian FPOs, Krishi Vigyan Kendras and AgTech partners under a shared IP framework, and deployed to smallholders in Maharashtra and Karnataka through the Victorian Government Trade & Investment offices in Bengaluru and Mumbai.

India has 146 million smallholder farmers. Most are flying blind.

Climate volatility, fragmented advisory, post-harvest loss and a near-total absence of carbon measurement infrastructure leave the world's most populous farming country under-served by the very technologies built to support it. Victoria's complementary strengths — measurement and monitoring, climate-smart agriculture, agri-bio research — are an exact fit for this gap.

Verified Carbon MRV

Soil carbon, made bankable.

Smallholder agriculture has been locked out of the carbon market by scale economics. REALM Krishi solves this by aggregating verified MRV across FPOs — bringing remote-sensing baselines, on-ground activity data and third-party verification together into a single bankable project.

  • Verra VM0042 (Improved Agricultural Land Management) methodology pathway
  • Gold Standard SDG Impact Tools for Smallholder Agriculture
  • Cover cropping, reduced tillage, residue retention, agroforestry, biochar
  • Transparent revenue split: farmer-majority share

Satellite + AI

Eyes on every plot. Every five days.

Sentinel-2 and Landsat-8/9 imagery, processed through cloud-masked time-series models, gives REALM Krishi field-level crop health across every district we operate in. Anomalies are pushed to farmers in their language before they become losses.

  • NDVI, NDMI, NDWI, SAVI, EVI indices
  • Scene Classification Layer cloud-masking
  • Historic-baseline anomaly detection
  • FPO, village and district aggregation

How we deploy.

A staged, evidence-led rollout designed to meet the Victorian Government's Year-1 / Year-3 / Year-5 review cadence set out on p.43 of the 2025–30 strategy.

Facilitation, by design.

REALM Krishi is structured around the Knowing → Planning → Doing facilitation arc set out in the Australia–India AgTech Business Opportunities Report 2026 (Austrade × ThinkAg, Section III, pp.68–72). Each rollout phase below assumes a 12–18 month gestation window for trust-building, contextual adaptation, and institutional co-design — supported by patient, blended capital from a facilitator stack of Victorian Government Trade & Investment, ThinkAg, Austrade South Asia, and Indian incubator and university partners. We treat the report's facilitation thesis as a binding design constraint, not a backdrop.

Facilitation milestones · Knowing → Planning → Doing

The facilitator stack, sequenced.

The Austrade × ThinkAg report (Section III) frames a three-phase facilitation arc — Knowing the context, Planning the entry, Doing at scale. We map each phase to a specific facilitator instrument and a Krishi deployment milestone.
