FAQ & Compliance — Uganda

How do I list a coffee lot on REALM Radar Uganda?

Head to realm-radar-uganda.vercel.app/radar/submit, fill in your lot details (region, grade, volume, contact), and our team verifies before publishing. Listings are free.

Does REALM verify cooperative legitimacy?

Yes. Every cooperative listing is cross-checked against UCDA, MAAIF and local district records before going live. Buyers can request verification documentation.

What documents do international buyers need for Uganda coffee export?

A UCDA export certificate, phytosanitary certificate from MAAIF, ICO Certificate of Origin, and a quality grading report from a UCDA-licensed cupper. REALM connects buyers with licensed exporters who handle this.

Are livestock listings restricted to specific districts?

No — REALM lists across all 4 regions (Central, Western, Eastern, Northern). However, cross-district livestock movement requires a Movement Permit from MAAIF, which sellers handle.

How is pricing displayed — UGX or USD?

Both. UGX is shown as the primary currency with USD in parenthesis at the current cross-rate, so international buyers and local producers can both read price comparably.
